Samsung Glasses Lite and Glasses AR have been leaked.
Augmented and virtual reality has been with us for a long time now, but they have not yet leaped to become mass consumer technologies. They may never have the impact of smartphones or smart speakers but, as of today, they are far from being even a niche technology.
That could change in the next few years as we know Apple is working on a model. And it’s not the only one. Thanks to WalkingCat we have been able to see two videos of what will be Samsung’s new augmented reality glasses, the Samsung Glasses Lite and Glasses AR.

These products have not yet been announced, but their videos show us quite an interesting product, although there is no guarantee that they will be introduced, at least not soon.
A different display
In the two videos, we see how these glasses are used as two different devices.
The Samsung Glasses Lite is a personal display rather than a system for projecting information in the real world, as Microsoft’s Hololens do.
However, Samsung Glasses AR does work that way, and can even interact with the environment using your hands, similar to what we’ve seen in movies like Minority Report.

Thanks to this technology we could dispense with monitors and televisions, and through the wireless connection use our smartphone or tablet as the brain of the system and the glasses as a projector panel.
In one of the videos, we see DeX, Samsung’s desktop interface, an interesting option for working from the mobile with a keyboard and mouse.
At the moment there is no news that Samsung is going to commercialize this type of product, at least soon. Let’s remember the first videos of foldable devices that we saw many years ago, and that did not become real until much later.
