Xbox launched FBS Boost support on some games for Series S/X. A few years ago, the company revealed its commitment to compatibility between older games and next-generation consoles. That commitment has been fulfilled today when they have launched FPS Boost with the first compatible titles with this technology.

In the statement, the company indicates that they are continuing with the compatibility commitment they launched in 2015. Gradually, older titles were becoming compatible with the new consoles. Back then, titles were benefiting from faster loading times, among other improvements.

Which are the first games to support FPS Boost on Xbox Series X/S?

Now, Microsoft launches FPS Boost, a technology that almost quadruples the amount of fps compared to original titles. Thus, the games selected to enjoy these improvements will be visually more fluid and this increase in FPS helps the immersive experience and enhances gameplay.

At the moment it is a very small list, the company assures that little by little they will expand the number of titles compatible with these improvements.

From today we can enjoy these titles:

  • Far Cry 4
  • New Super Lucky’s Tale
  • Sniper Elite 4
  • UFC 4
  • Watch Dogs 2

If you have one of these games on your Xbox account you just have to check the compatibility settings. There you can enable or disable the FPS Boost option.

Through Xbox Game Pass we can purchase New Super Lucky’s Tale and Sniper Elite 4 with FPS Boost.

With the current update, through Xbox Game Pass we can purchase New Super Lucky’s Tale and Sniper Elite 4 with FPS Boost. This is suitable for both the Xbox X Series and Xbox Series S. In addition, many of the upcoming games compatible with this technology will be available on Game Pass.

The company says that they have chosen these titles because they know they are the most famous ones. They also comment that they have thousands of titles from 4 different generations ready to go through the FPS Boost improvements, so it is only a matter of time before we can replay our favorite titles very soon.
