The Microsoft team is preparing a powerful update for Edge that will give more options to customize its dynamics.
Microsoft prepares widgets and new features for its web browser
It is a combination of three features that will add more options to manage extensions installed on Edge, as well as a new dynamic to manage browsing sessions with many tabs open.
One of the new features that will arrive with this major update for Microsoft Edge will give users a new way to manage installed extensions. The idea put forward by Microsoft is similar to what we find in Google Chrome.
In the browser bar, a new option will be added that by simply scrolling it we will see the installed extensions. From that menu, we will be able to activate or disable them. And of course, we will also be able to remove them directly from the bar, without having to go to the extensions section in the browser settings.
On the other hand, a tabbed browser is also being added. Yes, another feature was found in Google Chrome. This feature will allow you to find a certain website among all open tabs. Extra help for those who are used to open all web tabs in their browsing.
And finally, Microsoft Edge will also add widgets. An option for those users who want to see at glance information they consider relevant. While this proposal raises some options, it will start with a widget dedicated to news and weather.
So users will be able to open the Microsoft browser and see in the foreground the headlines of the last hours and weather data. Of course, Microsoft News will be used to update the news widget, as is the case with Bing.
Microsoft has not mentioned a specific date for this Edge update, so we will have to wait for it to surprise us with these new features in one of the future stable versions of the browser.
