Volkswagen CEO, Herbert Diess, said that he is not afraid of Apple Car. The year 2021 has started with important rumors about the Apple Car, it has been rumored since 2014 and that finally seems to see the light. The company is looking for car manufacturer partners. The company followed a similar route when it created the iPhone in 2007. However, Volkswagen’s CEO does not seem to be worried.

We know that the Apple Car, will be a fully autonomous car that might not even have a steering wheel. The proposal is risky and could change the automotive industry forever.

Volkswagen Group CEO Herbert Diess has said that he is “not afraid” of an Apple Car and Apple will not be able to overtake the $2 trillion automotive industry overnight.

Although Apple has not confirmed anything, Diess believes the rumors and reports are “logical.” Apple has expertise in battery technology, software, and design, and can easily use its entire track record in those areas to create a car.

Volkswagen is one of the largest automakers in Europe and the world, and probably should be one of Apple’s strongest rivals when they manufacture a car in the near future.

Apple is looking to create an autonomus car according to rumors.

Interestingly, the Volkswagen CEO’s words are similar to those we heard from other big CEOs before the iPhone launch. Palm’s CEO or Microsoft’s CEO made very loud statements against the iPhone at the time, and we already know how these two companies have ended up in the smartphone market.

Of course, this is not something that will surely happen to Volkswagen. The German company is a leader in the sector and it is also one of the most committed to electric autonomous cars. We are going to see how Apple and Volkswagen end up in the industry.
