If you use Voice Memos on iPhone, Mac, and iPad, today we are going to tell you how to improve the sound quality of them.
The Voice Memos app allows us to record conversations, sounds, songs, and basically everything that reaches the microphones of our device. We always want to get the best quality, fortunately, the app offers us this option, let’s see how to activate it.
How to improve the sound quality of Voice Memos on iPhone and iPad?
By default, the Voice Memos app compresses the recordings to prevent them from overflowing in size. This compression comes with a small loss of quality that we may want to avoid in certain situations.
Especially if we use a microphone connected to our iPhone, iPad, or Mac to make the recording, we want the quality of the content to be as high as possible. Fortunately, Apple offers us this option, just follow these steps:
- We open the Settings app on our iPhone or iPad.
- Go to Voice Memos.
- Tap on Audio Quality.
- Choose Lossless.
How to improve the sound quality of Voice Memos on Mac?
On the Mac, the process is quite similar, the steps are as follows:
- We open the Voice Memos app on our Mac.
- In the Voice Memos menu choose Preferences.
- In Audio Quality, there’s a drop-down menu, where we choose Lossless.
Easy, isn’t it? Remember that the size of the recordings will increase. This increase will depend a lot on the length of the recordings, but, in any case, it is clear that there are times when we need the highest quality available, especially if we want to do further editing.
