What we are seeing here is probably the most complete Smart TV from Xiaomi to date, it is a product that the company classifies as a high-end device and it really has some remarkable specs.
Its 75-inch QLED panel is particularly noteworthy, but also that 192-zone FALD backlighting system will also compete with high-end models from other manufacturers.
The inclusion of HDMI 2.1 is also very interesting in this model, not many affordable models have that and Xiaomi manages to bring it to a quite low price range.
The new member of Xiaomi’s Smart TV family features a QLED panel with 4K UHD resolution and Dynamic Local Dimming technology that allows reaching a 10,000:1 contrast ratio.
It also has support for both Dolby Vision and HDR10+, two of the most notable alternatives when it comes to playing HDR content. The audio section is also good enough thanks to Dolby Audio and DTS-HD support.
It has a MediaTek MT9611 processor, which makes its debut in equipment with Android TV, but in these specs, two of the most striking elements are the support for up to 120Hz refresh rate and also the integration of HDMI 2.1. It is crucial to be able to take full advantage of next-generation consoles like the Xbox Series S/X or the PS5.
Mi TV Q1 has Dolby Vision technology support and the advantages of Android TV or Google Assistant compared to Tizen and Bixby in the Samsung.
Its remote control has Bluetooth technology and it can be used without having to “point” to the screen. Psychical obstacles will not be the biggest problem since Bluetooth works quite well from a distance.
There are shortcuts for Netflix and Amazon Prime Video and you can also give voice commands using the remote control. Google’s voice assistant will be available to hear us from a 3 meters distance. Thus, we will be able to use Google Assistant and Alexa easily but we can also “mute” the microphone if we are concerned about our privacy.
Xiaomi Mi TV Q1 has Android TV 10, and this device will benefit from the latest updates of Google’s operating system.
Xiaomi Mi TV Q1 features WiFi connectivity but also integrates the features of any Chromecast so we can use this technology to send content or monitor our mobile phones or laptops through TV.
