Hyundai and Apple cool Apple Car news, deny they are in talks. We have been hearing leaks for weeks about the Apple Car that Apple and Hyundai could be working on, but both now say they are not in talks.

After numerous news in which the development of the Apple Car by Kia Motors, a subsidiary of Hyundai, was taken for granted, Bloomberg publishes an article in which Hyundai denies that they are in talks with Apple and cools the situation that was generating so many expectations.

There has been a lot of news during the last month about the Apple Car. These have come from all sides: Apple, Hyundai, South Korean media, CNBC. It has even been advanced that it would be an autonomous vehicle intended for delivery or the investment of 3,600 million dollars with which it would work, but something has happened.

Bloomberg has published that negotiations have stopped, and even that Apple is upset by the misinformation that Hyundai has transferred to the media about the production of the vehicle.

After this denial, both companies have made public their positions and Hyundai has stated that now they are not working on the production of the Apple Car, even that “they have been talking to several companies about the development of autonomous electric vehicles” and that Apple’s option was only one more.

This is important information, and to confirm it is enough to check that after the news, Hyundai’s shares dropped 8.4% and Kia’s shares dropped 15.3%, according to 9TO5Mac. There are many expectations about the future launch of the vehicle, despite the problems that may be faced when starting a project of such magnitude.

At this point no more is known about the Apple Car, and the news coming in is conflicting, with some media outlets reporting no further news, and others publishing that Apple is negotiating with at least six manufacturers.

It is clear to the whole industry that progress will be made on the Apple Car but as usual in the company led by Tim Cook, it seems that they want to do it with great control over every aspect, starting with the information that is transmitted to the media.
