A job offer from Apple that suggests more of the company’s own accessories, mostly health-focused ones in the future. The offer is looking for an Engineering Project Manager (EPM in the slang of technological trades) who “can lead the design and development of hardware products related to health”.
Apple wants to make more health-focused accessories
The Apple Watch is the health device par excellence that Apple has right now, but do not forget that there are accessories from third-party companies such as the Beddit that have ended up being owned by the Cupertino company as a result of an acquisition. Seeing how well the accessories division is growing, it’s no wonder they want to launch more products and focus them on customer health.
Obviously, it is not specified what kind of own-brand devices those might be, but there are a lot of possibilities: Scales, thermometers, blood pressure monitors. There could even be products designed for specific sectors of the public, depending on their health needs.
If Apple also adds an ease of use like that already existing in the HomePods, which are configured as soon as the iPhone is brought close to them, we would already have a great advantage over the competition. For the moment, we will have to wait because if they are still looking for a responsible person to lead the entire development means that the initiative is still very green.
