Apple has released the public versions of iOS 14.4, iPadOS 14.4, and watchOS 7.2.
iOS 14.4 – iPadOS 14.4 ready for bug fixes
You can already download iOS 14.4, the latest version of iOS that comes mainly to fix all the bugs that have been appearing in previous versions of iOS. In iOS 14.4, we will also have the possibility that the camera of our device can detect smaller QR codes (increasingly useful due to the situation in which we find ourselves), and a new feature that allows us to select the type of device that is an external device connected by Bluetooth.
With this new functionality, we will be able to make iOS understand that the sound system of our car, for example, is a car stereo so that the Bluetooth audio output adapts to the characteristics of this. The same goes for headphones, listening devices, or Bluetooth speakers.
Have you changed the camera of your iPhone or iPad at an unauthorized dealer? iOS 14.4 will warn us that this is not certified by Apple and warn us of the risks that this may have. As we say, all this joins bug fixes that have been found in previous versions of iOS 14.
WatchOS 7.3, new watch interface, and more ECG countries
And along with iOS 14.4, comes watchOS 7.3, the new version of the Apple Watch operating system. A new version comes a month after the release of watchOS 7.2, which brought us the new Apple Fitness+ app (in selected countries). This time, watchOS 7.3 brings us the new “Time to walk” for Apple Fitness+ subscribers, a new feature that allows us to go for walks outdoors, monitor them, and listen to music and motivational podcasts from athletes and other celebrities.
watchOS 7.3 opens the possibility to perform electrocardiograms to countries such as Japan, Mayotte, Philippines, and Thailand, as well as the activation of arrhythmia notifications in these countries. And for watch face lovers, the new watchOS 7.3 adds the new Unity watch face inspired by the colors of the Pan-African flag (black, red, and green). A new watch face whose shapes will change throughout the day with the movements we make.
