OPPO’s mid-range continues to grow, after the presentation of the A93 a couple of weeks ago, the manufacturer launched the new OPPO A55 5G. It is another phone within its mid-range that comes with 5G connectivity as standard.
OPPO A55 5G is a model within the more modest mid-range of the Chinese manufacturer, but that already comes with 5G. This makes it a particularly interesting option, being one of the cheapest phones with 5G that we find in its catalog.

OPPO A55 5G is partly reminiscent of the A53 5G presented a few weeks ago, in fact they share some features such as most of their cameras and a similar front design. The new smartphone also arrives with a 6.5-inch LCD display with waterdrop-shaped notch, although in this case it surprises in a negative way with its HD+ resolution. The fingerprint sensor is placed on one of the sides of this device.
The processor chosen in this phone is MediaTek’s Dimensity 700, one of the Chinese manufacturer’s chips that bring 5G to the mid-range. Along with the processor we have a unique combination of RAM and storage (6/128 GB). It should be noted its 5,000mAh battery capacity, which gives it a good battery life.
As for the cameras, it has opted for a configuration very similar to that of the A53 5G we saw weeks ago. This OPPO A55 5G does not surprise too much in this field, but it will comply well. We have three cameras on its rear: 13MP main sensor, a 2MP macro and a depth sensor of 2MP for portraits. On the front we find a single 8MP sensor.
As for operating system, unlike previous models in this range, the phone arrives already with Android 11 with Color OS 11.1 as interface.
Oppo A55 5G release date and price
The OPPO A55 5G has been officially presented in China, where it can already be purchased officially. For now there is no data on the launch of this device in other markets.
The phone is launched in a single RAM and storage version, in blue and black colors. Its price in China is 1599 yuan (265 USD).
