Samsung works on a successor to the Galaxy A80. Launched in the summer of 2019, this mid-range stands out for its rotating camera system, which serves as front and rear cameras. An innovative and risky device, but that differentiated itself from its competitors.
Samsung works on a successor to the Galaxy A80
In this time, Samsung has been renewing its Galaxy A range with new generations. Although this Galaxy A80 has not had a successor so far. This could change this year with the launch of the Galaxy A82 5G, a new smartphone of which only the name is known for now.
The Galaxy A80 was a device that got people talking since its presentation, due to its innovative design and its rotating camera system, whose operation was explained by Samsung itself. This system was presented as an alternative to the notch or perforation on the screen in the market, so it helped it to differentiate itself in the mid-range on Android.
In 2020 it was expected that Samsung was going to launch a successor to that smartphone, something that did not happen. It seems that it will finally be this year when the successor to this smartphone arrives, which would be launched under the name Galaxy A82 5G. Samsung will thus continue to bet on the 5G within the range of the Galaxy A. Although so far nothing is known about this new smartphone.
Another doubt is whether this new Galaxy A82 5G will keep the motorized camera system that we saw in the Galaxy A80. So far Samsung has not used it in any of its phones, so it is questionable whether we will see this camera system in a new phone, although we have to wait for more to be known about this new smartphone.
If this model is launched this year, it shouldn’t be too long before we know something about it. So we can see what the brand has prepared in this new Galaxy A82 5G.
