For now, we still need a Mac or a PC with an internet connection to be able to export those contacts in groups.
How to export all the contacts from iCloud?
If we have a Mac at hand, the process is very simple. Just open the application ‘Contacts’, click to select one of these contacts, and then go to the menu ‘Edit’ > ‘Select All’ so all contacts will be marked (you can also simply press CMD + A):
Then go to the menu ‘File’ > ‘Export’ > ‘Export vCard’ to export a vCard file of all your contacts. You will be asked in which directory you want to export it, so choose the one you prefer and click on ‘Save’:
The file format is compatible with all modern phonebooks and services, so you can use it as a simple local backup of your contacts, or you can send part of your contacts to someone else by attaching that file to an email or instant messaging service that supports it.
If we don’t have a Mac, we can use any PC with Windows or Linux that has an internet connection. Just access the iCloud web, log in with your Apple ID, and select the contacts you want to export.
To do this, press on one of your contacts and then press the keys CTRL+A so they will be marked. Then, click on the Settings icon and then select ‘Export vCard’. The vCard will be downloaded to your computer so you can share it as you wish.
