Many people refused then because they didn’t want to share card data and left it stored in the cloud. But what happened in recent years with the number of services available through the Play Store, people did not have a choice to do so.
However, whether it is to register a new card, modify one that has expired or select another method of payment, the process is actually very simple on a smartphone or a computer.
How to change your default payment method in Google Play Store?
So, whether you want to register a new card or remove another one that has expired, you can do it in the Play Store app you have on your Android device. Here is the steps to do so:
- Open the Google Play Store App.
- Tap Menu (the three horizontal lines).
- Select Payment Methods.
- To add a new card: You will have to go a little further down to the option “Add debit or credit card”.
- To remove an expired card, or update the data of another card: Tap the function called “More payment settings“, which will take you to Chrome to add and remove any of the cards already added to your Google account.
