OPPO is coming with a crazy design, it’s a foldable smartphone with two hinges. We thought that the brand had put this format aside after presenting the OPPO X 2021, but clearly, it had not.

  • Samsung shows a new format for its future foldable phones
  • Apple tests the prototypes of the foldable iPhone
  • Xiaomi patents a foldable smartphone with a slider display

The idea is that the key components of the device are in one piece and the rest can be folded according to the user’s needs.

These designs are reminiscent of some of the patents we saw in November, with the addition of a stylus.

According to the information, the screen will be 7-inches in thin proportion and could differentiate between 40 and 80 mm depending on the needs of the user.

The approach is very attractive and suitable for both private and professional use, with a seemingly discreet design for what can be expected in the most innovative mobiles. Although it remains to be seen if this is the final approach.

What is clear is that foldable mobiles are close to achieving their definitive take-off, although, in order for them to reach the majority of users, prices must also be reduced. We will see which company is next to take a step forward, but this Oppo’s two hinges design seems really interesting.
