Thursday 10th December will be one of the most special days of 2020. On the one hand, Cyberpunk 2077 will be released, putting an end to a long wait with several accumulated delays. On the other hand, the new edition of The Game Awards 2020 will be held, a gala that promises many surprises and announcements.

Although the last delay of the game (which caused it to be released in December instead of November) has prevented Cyberpunk 2077 from being considered for this year’s nominees (which leaves the door open for it to be the “GOTY” of 2021 in the next year’s ceremony, as paradoxical as it sounds), the CD Projekt RED will have a presence at the gala, at least through its star, Keanu Reeves.

Tomorrow night, Keanu Reeves joins #TheGameAwards as a presenter to celebrate an incredible year for video games.

No doubt many of us will remember Reeves’ presence at E3 2019, where his participation in the game was announced, and he gave us the “You’re all breathtaking!”, which still lifts our spirits when we are down.

Actually, The Game Awards will start at dawn on Friday 11th, so you will have already had a day to explore Night City.

The pre-show will start Friday, December 11th, in which there will be some announcements and musical performances. The gala itself will start at 01:00, and is expected to last two and a half hours, in which there will be time to reveal “between twelve and fifteen games never seen before”.
