More problems for iPhone 12: Battery drains very fast in standby mode

It seems that the iPhone 12 battery drains very fast in standby mode.

Apple’s new iPhone 12 has been with us for barely a month and a half (the Mini and Pro Max considerably less) and like always with the first shipments, there are often errors that users report. Now, after the green screen or sudden loss of 5G/4G connectivity problems, new owners have appeared describing certain errors that have to do with the battery.

From the very moment of their presentation, the iPhone 12 has been a small mystery as far as battery life is concerned. Because for the first time in many generations, Apple did not announce a development in battery life. On the contrary, the absence of this info raised so many questions and as the phones landed in stores, some of those suspicions were confirmed.

User report that iPhone 12 standby mode drains the battery

According to some users reported through complaints, their iPhone 12 is consuming too much battery in standby mode. This means when you carry it in your pocket locked and doing nothing, the phone is constantly draining the battery.

One user claims that his iPhone 12 Pro consumes 4% of the battery per hour in standby mode. If you don’t use your phone at least ten hours, it means without doing anything you will already lose 40% of its battery life According to the user, this happens without having 5G activated, although later he made more tests by turning on 5G and did not appreciate any noticeable differences.

We should add that this problem does not affect all users, so it can be an isolated error in some units or particular configurations. In any case, it is very likely that Apple is already analyzing the scope of these complaints to, in any case, resolve them as it has done on other occasions, through patches that are published with each new version of iOS.
