Microsoft CEO details their plan to differentiate Xbox from PlayStation.
So what is Microsoft’s and Xbox’s plan for new generation console wars? The company’s CEO wanted to make clear the company’s position.
A new generation has begun and ahead lies years of games, innovations, and business strategies. Xbox and PlayStation revive their rivalry in terms of the vision for the video game industry with the launch of PS5 and Xbox Series X and Series S.
Both companies have chosen different models to understand the sector and this new generation may bring a few more changes. Microsoft’s CEO, Satya Nadella has been commenting on Xbox’s intention in this new path in an interview.
When asked “What is Microsoft doing to differentiate itself from PlayStation and win the console war,” the CEO replied: “First of all, we are very excited about the launch of the new console in the market. We have always focused on making sure that our gaming community is counting on us to produce the best consoles that a new generation of consoles has, that are powerful and really great to play.”
“We have seen our content portfolio double with the acquisition of ZeniMax, and have focused on advancing our community efforts and our subscription offerings with Game Pass. And that’s what you can expect from us, Nadella continued. We are very, very focused on games and ensuring that the 3 billion players worldwide get the best content, the best community, and the best cloud services to power their gaming experiences into the future.”
In the last few years, Microsoft and Xbox have focused on promoting their services such as Game Pass, xCloud, etc. And it seems that this generation will be the ones to complete the process. Just this week its has been announced that Control, Dragon Quest XI S, Call of the Sea, and many more are coming to Xbox Game Pass.
