- Samsung introduced its new Smart Monitor M5 and M7: specs, price and release date
An all-in-one PC that eliminates components and cables from the desktop, and makes installation much easier for less technical users or those who don’t want to mess around too much. Of course, this mini-PC does not include monitors and is an indispensable component for viewing content.
If you don’t have a spare screen to plug it into or are looking for something a little more compact and portable that fits the size of the Raspberry Pi 400, Waveshare Integrator is offering solutions that may interest you, with two 7-inch or 13.3-inch monitors that are sold in kits or sold separately.
Both have built-in foot stands, allowing you to stand them up while combining with a Raspberry Pi 400 or other devices. And both have HDMI inputs for video and USB for touch support. The 13.3-inch version also has a built-in speaker, supports 10-point multi-touch input, has an FHD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and requires its own power supply (in addition to the one that keeps the Raspberry Pi running).
The smaller model has a touch screen. Extremely compact, its diagonal is 7 inches with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. It has no speakers but does not need its own power supply as it can get power from the Raspberry Pi through the USB port.
Otherwise, it offers the same features we know from the machine. The processor is Broadcom BCM2711 with four Cortex A72 cores overclocked for the occasion at 1.8GHz, 4GB RAM, and good connectivity for its size with Ethernet, Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi 5, USB ports, the 40 pin GPIO port; the 3.5 mm jack, plus the two micro HDMI ports with the possibility of connecting up to two 4K monitors.
Waveshare markets its offer in kits with Raspberry Pi 400 and the monitors separately with the following prices:
- Raspberry Pi 400 kit with 7-inch screen for $180
- Raspberry Pi 400 kit with 13.3-inch screen for $267
- 7-inch screen for $72
- 13.3-inch screen for $160
