How to free up space on WhatsApp easily?
As we say, the new internal storage management function of WhatsApp is installed inside the settings section so it is not necessary to download any app or external utility. Everything is inside the house and to use it we only have to do the following. To be able to free up space on WhatsApp, open the WhatsApp settings menu.
Once we are inside the settings we only have to look for the fourth section, it is called “Storage and Data” and enter this section. There, we will see “Manage Storage” option at the top and it will indicate how much space the downloaded files are taking up in our cell phone.
Then, WhatsApp begins by telling us how much your downloaded files take up and how much space we have available on the phone. In this section, you will be able to do some settings that cover your needs. It depends on your phone’s storage capacity, your internet connection, etc.
Now we will only have to access the conversations that interest us to check which files are associated (and downloaded to our phone). With a simple click on them, and with a long-press the button to send the file to the trash will appear, freeing up space on our cell phone. We leave the process summarized below.
- Go to Settings
- Access Storage and Data
- Select Manage Storage
- Find each conversation to delete the files you want
This way you’ve learned how to free up space on WhatsApp easily.
