Xiaomi presents a mini computer that you can carry in a pocket. Xiaomi is adding to its product catalog a mini computer that follows the footsteps of other Chinese integrators like the Chuwi LarkBox Pro.
One of the biggest developments in computers is downsizing. From huge machines that used to take up an entire room, we have moved to miniatures that can be carried in a pocket and used anywhere.
Xiaomi’s mini computer is called Ningmei Rubik’s Cube, which gives us an idea of what we can expect from its design. Indeed, it is similar in size to the famous mechanical puzzle with a 62 x 62 x 42 mm metal chassis. It takes up less than half the area of a Xiaomi 10 phone and weighs considerably less than the handset: 145 grams.
Ningmei Rubik’s Cube is powered by a CPU “Gemini Lake Refresh”, model Intel Celeron J4125 with four cores, 2GHz base frequency, 2.7GHz turbo and integrated graphics Intel UHD 600 capable of taking video up to 4K resolution and capable of working at 250MHz to 750MHz.
It equips an LPDDR4 RAM module with 6GB or 8GB capacity and 128GB or 256GB storage through a solid-state drive M.2. It supports Wi-Fi 5 (Wi-Fi 802.11ac dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz) and Bluetooth 5 wireless networks, as well as VESA for hanging on walls or behind monitors.
Ningmei Rubik’s Cube includes a USB Type-C port for power supply, 2 USB 3.0 Type-A ports, HDMI output, a 3.5 mm jack for audio and a microSD card reader. It includes a special ‘Marvel’ version for those who like these superhero customizations.
