Apple Silicon to debut on November 10th. A few months have passed since the presentation of Apple Silicon at WWCD 2020, and since then we have not stopped speculating about this new family of processors based on ARM architecture. And there have been a thousand rumors in this direction, from those who indicated that it would come out before the end of 2020.
- Xiaomi sold more mobile phones than Apple in the last quarter
- Apple One will be officially launched this Friday
- Apple’s own search engine is closer than we think
However there have been more and more voices pointing out that we would not end the year without seeing the first Mac with Apple Silicon, and we even wondered if it would be the companion to the iPhone 12 in its presentation. Obviously, it was not.
And now, Apple has begun to send out invitations for an event (online, of course) that will take place on November 10th. An event that they are presenting with the “One More Thing” slogan, which is a big word if we are talking about Apple, since the phrase has only been used in presentations in which products that are really important for the company were seen: iPod, iPhone, iPad…
It will be strange to focus exclusively on a single computer, surely a MacBook, but on the other hand, it would be surprising if we see more than one computer in the Apple Silicon event. There are two possibilities. The first one is we might see several computers presented.
The other possibility is we might see only a computer with Apple Silicon presented. But we also expect the arrival of macOS X Big Sur, the new annual renovation of the operating system. It will be the first one to be compatible with both x86 and ARM.
Apple Silicon to debut on November 10th. But, there is one more possibility, which would also be complementary with the previous ones, we might see some “minor” products presented, such as the AirPods Studio or the mysterious Airtag.
