The new driving mode on Google Maps will be available to everyone soon. A couple of weeks ago the first users started to have access to the new driving mode in Google Maps. The deployment of the function has been limited, but in the new version of the application (10.53.1), new clues are given about its progress.
This new driving mode is set to replace the Android Auto app on smartphones and introduces a new interface and better voice control with Google Assistant. Google is preparing to expand this feature among Google Maps users very soon. In addition to introducing a feature already present in the web version of the app.
- Google’s Loon sets record for longest stratospheric flight: 312 days
- Google pays a fortune for being the default search engine of the iPhone
- You will be able to log in to Spotify with your Google account soon
This new driving mode on Google Maps is more comfortable to use, thanks to a renewed interface, with larger buttons, which allow for easier use. In addition, integration with Google Assistant is improved and new voice controls are introduced, which will allow the user to control the app with commands while driving, without the need to touch the screen.
In this version (10.53.1) of the application, the driving mode is not the only feature that awaits us. It has been discovered that Google works on a language switching function in the application in Android. Currently, you can change the language spoken by the guide in the app, but there is currently no function that allows you to change the language in the app interface.
The web version of Google Maps already has the possibility to change the language, so Google finally brings this option also to the Android application. It will be in the next version of the Android application where it will be possible to change the language from the settings of the app.
The new driving mode on Google Maps will be available to everyone soon. For now, it is not known when these features will be officially launched for Android app users. They are not active yet. Google has not said anything about it.
