iPhone 12 batteries are smaller than expected. The battery capacity of the iPhone 12 has been revealed in some unpacking videos and it may be surprising how small it is compared to other smartphones. Apple does not give specific data about the batteries installed in the list of specifications. But they are always assertive when it comes to battery consumption.

The battery capacity of the four versions of the new Apple smartphones would be well below the average currently installed by Android manufacturers and far from that offered by the high-end terminals with which they compete.
According to the information (Unofficial, because Apple does not disclose them), these are the battery capacity of the new iPhones:
- iPhone 12 mini: 2,227 mAh
- iPhone 12: 2,815 mAh
- iPhone 12 Pro: 2,815 mAh
- iPhone 12 Pro Max: 3.687 mAh
History repeats itself of other generations of Apple smartphones. The company relies on hardware integration and optimization of the iOS system and software to achieve increased autonomy without having to mount higher capacity batteries and thus increase the weight, thickness and costs of the mobile phones.
iPhone 12 batteries are smaller than expected. We will have to wait for the independent tests to see how far the autonomy of the new iPhone goes, but the big difference with the Android platform is surprising. Yesterday, at the launch of the new Huawei Mate 40, we saw how the standard model included a 4,200 mAh battery, while the Pro model increased the capacity to 4,400 mAh.
This is only one example because the average in Android is much higher and there are mobiles that exceed 5,000 mAh in all market ranges. We must not forget that the battery is a fundamental component in any mobile device and in particular in a smartphone, a whole miniature computer, increasingly larger and more powerful, where the autonomy has not improved to the extent of other features.
