Xiaomi has just announced an exciting new fast-charging technology: Xiaomi Mi Wireless Charging Technology. In short, it is a fast 80W wireless charging system. The company claims that it “charges to 100% in 19 minutes” a smartphone with 4000mAH battery.
What is Xiaomi Mi Wireless Charging Technology?
This is a major leap forward in terms of power compared to the 30W technology introduced last year. It also surpasses all other advances announced to date by the company. Just this year, they presented three improvements: 40W wireless charge, 50W and now 80W.

Even though we don’t know all the details, this wireless fast-charging technology of Xiaomi is the most powerful one ever. To give some examples, Huawei has SuperCharge (55W), OPPO has AirVOOC Wireless Flash Charging (40W), Samsung has 15W systems and Apple also has 15W in their new iPhone 12.
The Chinese company has not revealed which devices will be the first to incorporate this technology. Neither they mentioned if there will be a significant increase in the temperature of the mobile phones, if so, what possible solutions are there? For the moment, it seems like for now, they are sure of this new technology and we won’t know its downsides without trying.
