When it comes to Apple, we’re never %100 sure what to expect. We don’t know if the new AirPods will be unveiled at the iPhone event or if they will suddenly appear in Apple stores, However, there are some things that are confirmed and we can write about them with certainty.
We’re sure new AirPods will come out, but it’s probably not the premium AirPods Pro model. there will be two “professional” and “ordinary” models, as the new models are expected to offer a similar and smaller design. AirPods expected features
Apple has already cooperated with Beats brand. “Beats Studio3 Wireless Headphones” are on sale for $350, while “Beats Solo3 Wireless Headphones” are on sale for $230. Based on the name change from Beats 1 to Apple Music 1, it is quite possible that the “AirPods Studio” headphones might use a similar renaming of existing headphones.
If we look a little closer, these premium over-ear AirPods are supposed to be manufactured on the principle of a modular system. The in-ear speakers could remain the same, and Apple will almost certainly replace the casing with a better one, similar to the microphone. The predictions even suggest that Apple could take a similar path with headphones as it does with the Apple Watch, where Apple wants users to wear different straps for different occasions. So these headphones could be equipped with a leather option, a metal option, and a classic sports variant that will be resistant to sweat.
Modular headphones would certainly appeal to a wider circle of customers, as Apple could cover both the sports segment and those who use the headphones to record various talk shows and the like with one model.
AirPods Studio expected features
Continuing the new features of the premium models, the “AirPods Studio” headphones are expected to offer a wider range of sensors, even larger than the AirPods and AirPods Pro. An interesting feature may be that the headphones are recognized when worn on the head or around the neck.
Similarly, the headphones could determine on their own whether the user used them correctly, and if they did not, they will adjust the stereo output so the user can still hear the correct sound. This same sound can quickly become mono if the user removes one of the headphones from the ear.
AirPods already have the technology of “active noise cancellation” (ANC) and it is already very effective reducing a variety of sounds from the outside world. “AirPods Studio” will likely offer ANC as well, and will likely be even more efficient, mainly due to size.

Can we expect cheap AirPods?
In fact, the premium “AirPods Studio” headphones will be the most expensive of the entire Apple series, so they will be more expensive than the AirPods Pro and AirPods. However, there are rumors that Apple is preparing more. “AirPods Pro Lite” this model probably would be somewhere between AirPods and AirPods Pro.
Currently Apple‘s cheapest headphones are the AirPods with a wired charger, followed by the AirPods model with wireless charging, and the most expensive one, the AirPods Pro. An even more likely explanation is that the “AirPods Pro Lite” headphones could be a replacement for the old BeatsX model. By the way “AirPods Pro Lite” headphones could also be called “AirPods X”.
AirPods 3 expected release date
The original AirPods came out in September 2016, which means we were able to get them before the Christmas holiday that year. They were then updated in March 2019. Apple officially announced Airpods 2.
Based on the series, we expect the new model to be called “AirPods 3”. According to analysts Apple is expected to launch “AirPods 3” in 2021. Probably, they will be equipped with ANC technology, just like the Pro models, but they almost certainly will be physically smaller, but more expensive.
If we add all the rumors and if we subtract the possibility of renaming the Beats headphones, Apple is expected to prepare three different models of AirPods headphones for the year. It’s hard to say that if there is really a “AirPods Pro Lite” model.
However, this could mean that we can still look forward to the “AirPods 3” model this year, and the “AirPods Studio” could also enter a whole new market. We’re talking, of course, about the premium “AirPods Studio” model, which is somehow mentioned more often when we talk about this year’s launch.
