Acer renewed Swift 3 and Swift 5 models with Tiger Lake processors. Acer Swift is the series of ultraportables from the Taiwanese manufacturer and they arrive updated in several models with the novelty that is the new generation of Intel processors, Tiger Lake.
The equipment will be validated under the Intel EVO certification, the new name of the Athena Project for standardization of ultraportables or convertibles under the Intel platform, in which meets a series of criteria such as a long-lasting battery with fast charging; next-generation Iris Xe graphics; slim and light chassis; select connectivity options such as Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 6; Responsiveness or instant resume from sleep mode.
Acer Swift 5 specs
It is a premium ultraportable with a chassis built in a magnesium alloy that leaves its weight below one kilogram. Acer Swift 5 has a 14-inch diagonal screen protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass antimicrobial glass. The antimicrobial solution can optionally be extended to other parts of the computer, base, keyboard and touchpad. The display supports 100% of the sRGB color gamut, has a brightness of 340 nits and slim bezels for a 90% screen-to-body ratio.
Acer Swift 5 uses 11th generation Intel Core processors, integrated Xe graphics, up to 16GB of LPDDRAX RAM and solid state drives that can reach 1TB capacity.
Its 56Wh battery offers a range of up to 17 hours according to the manufacturer and offers fast charging in 30 minutes, it offers 4 hours of use. It offers USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 4 and USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, plus an Intel chip with dual-band Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.

It also has a built-in fingerprint reader for Windows Hello and supports the Wake on Voice feature, which allows users to wake up and view Windows 10 even with the screen off. Acer Swift 5 will be available in some regions from November with an official price starting at $999.
Acer Swift 3 specs
One notch below the previous one, but with the same goal of offering next-generation premium ultraportables. Acer puts two models on the market (SF313-53) and (SF314-59), depending on screen size and other characteristics.
The form of Acer Swift 3 is really interesting with a 16mm thick magnesium-aluminum chassis and 1.19kg weight. Its screen is 13.5 inches with a 2K resolution, 2256×1504 pixels and an interesting 3: 2 aspect ratio to offer more vertical space. The display covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut.
Like the previous ones, Acer Swift 3 uses Intel Tiger Lake processors, integrated Xe graphics, up to 16GB LPDDRAX RAM and NVMe solid state drives. There is no lack of USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi and fingerprint sensor ports. The SF313-53 will be available in November with a $799 price tag.
The second Acer Swift 3 (SF314-59) model bets on a 14-inch screen with FHD resolution. Its chassis is made of aluminum and beyond that it offers the same processing and connectivity options as the other model. With Windows 10 Home pre-installed, it will also be available in November with a $699 starting price.
