Finally NVIDIA has announced the GeForce RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090 graphics cards, all built under the new Ampere architecture, here are their price, specs and release date information.

NVIDIA released 3 cards: GeForce RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090 features

It has been difficult for Nvidia to get here, but here they are, the first three models of the NVIDIA Ampere family, an architecture that comes to offer almost double the performance per watt consumed compared to the previous one from NVIDIA.

The new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090, RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 are aimed at taking a big step forward in efficiency and taking ray-tracing to the next level, along with the implementation of PCIe 4.0.

The RTX 30 Founders Edition will use the 12-pin connector

As it had been leaking in recent days, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 make use of the 12-pin connector that has given much to talk about. This connector is smaller than an 8-pin PCIe power connector and does the job of two of these, even slightly more.

Finally NVIDIA has announced the GeForce RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090 graphics cards, all built under the new Ampere architecture, here are their price, specs and release date information.

NVIDIA has placed this connector in a different orientation than usual in order to make it easier to connect and install the graphics card in some compact cases. However, this connector will not come in the NVIDIA RTX 30 graphics cards from the assemblers, not at least in these first models as we have seen.

NVIDIA Ampere architecture benefits

The company has announced NVIDIA Reflex, which is a technology that reduces the latency of the computer in games. The company has also announced that ray-tracing is coming with full support to the Fortnite game soon.

New PCB, more compact and efficient

As we saw in previous leaks, on the RTX 3090 PCB specifically, the RTX 30 make use of a shorter and more square PCB, which enables them to be placed horizontally in practically any box on the market (using a riser, there are many boxes that are already prepared for it). In numbers, we are talking about a 50% smaller PCB compared to NVIDIA Turing.

This is undoubtedly thanks to the new manufacturing process in which the GPUs have been manufactured, specifically it is a Samsung 8nm technology node.

Finally NVIDIA has announced the GeForce RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090 graphics cards, all built under the new Ampere architecture, here are their price, specs and release date information.

Unprecedented performance, up to more than double that of the RTX 2080 Ti

This is another feature leaked hours after its launch. NVIDIA’s new Ampere architecture arrives to delight the most demanding gamers out there. We’re talking twice the performance of the RTX 2080 Ti  in some games, acquiring the new RTX 3090 (previously assumed to be the RTX 3080 Ti).

This opens up a world of possibilities in ray-tracing, which was often lacking in performance in early RTXs. This second generation of RTX graphics comes to solve this problem at a stroke, with an identical cost in its output to that of the respective RTX 20.

It should be noted the size of the NVIDIA RTX 3090 with its 24GB GDDR6X, and it is seen in the hands of Jen-Hsun Huang, NVIDIA CEO, it shows that we are facing a graph of another caliber.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070, 3080 and 3090 specifications, price and release date

As you can guess, the NVIDIA RTX 3090 has the highest performance in the series with its 24 GB GDDR6X memory, 3080 and 3070 following in order.
