A year later, Netflix begins to test with some users the shuffle button that can help you when you do not know what to choose from its extensive catalog.
It seems that the day is getting closer when we see the Netflix shuffle button on some streaming platforms. A few days ago we informed you about how Prime Video is testing this option and today we know that Netflix is experimenting with it again a year after we saw the first tests, and this time it is doing it directly with users.
But what is a shuffle button? Explaining it is very simple, simply a button that takes you to any episode of a series chosen at random, or to a movie, without taking into account your algorithm or preferences. At first you might think that this is not at all appetizing, because you don’t want to start a series with just any episode, but it has its reasons, the most important being that people who spend minutes browsing between menus without knowing what to watch enter some content.
Also, as with normal television, which is sometimes turned on as background noise or to keep company, this button can have the same utility in subscribers’ homes.
- Netflix playback speed will be changeable on Android devices
- The movies and series coming to Netflix in August 2020
- Amazon Prime Video August 2020: Upcoming movies and series
The fact is that now Netflix is testing the shuffle button in the main menu, clicking on it is when you directly enter random content.
At the moment Netflix shuffle button is only available on television for some subscribers, not in the Netflix application or on the computer. And it has been known that they are still debating whether to use it with all the content on the platform or add it to specific series, an aspect that may make much more sense in those that are self-concluding episodes, such as Rick and Morty.
In any case, you may enter Netflix at some point and the shuffle button will appear to notify you of this new option
