In this article, we cover what to expect from the Galaxy Unpacked event, where new smartphones, tablets, connected watches and true wireless headphones might be on board on Wednesday, August 5?
Galaxy Unpacked will be held online due to COVID-19
Samsung’s traditional Galaxy Unpacked summer conference will be held in two days. According to the manufacturer’s teaser, it will take place in the heart of the Samsung Digital City, its headquarters in Korea. This will be the brand’s first post-Covid and online event. We hope that Samsung will do better than Apple whose online WWDC conference that took place this year lacked breath and excitement.

Without too much suspense, because a lot of information has been leaked, Samsung should unveil two premium smartphones: the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The two models being 5G compatible and capable of 8K shooting, they will both be equipped with the new S Pen stylus.
The two models should be differentiated by their battery capacities, and above all, their camera performance. The first would be equipped with a 108-megapixel sensor with a Space Zoom x30, and the second with a 108-megapixel sensor with a Space Zoom x50.
Two tablets will probably be there: the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ . The Galaxy Tab S7 would be more affordable because it has an 11-inch screen using LTPS. The S7+ would have a 12.4-inch AMOLED screen.
As for smartwatches, we should not wait for the successor of the Galaxy Watch Active but of the Galaxy Watch launched two years ago. It should be named as Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. It might have a round design, again with a rotating bezel, it would embed the Bixby voice assistant allowing in particular to make calls or send SMS. A 4G version is expected as well.
New true wireless Galaxy Buds Live headphones are also expected. The big feature would be their active noise reduction system. Their design promises to be original and controversial, in the shape of a bean.
