Corning has presented its new glass for mobile screens: It is called Gorilla Glass Victus and it is the most resistant version to date.

It survives falls from two meters high and does not scratch. If you like technology and you usually consult the specifications of the devices, surely you already know that most of the screens have Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is a glass resistant to shocks and scratches that has the purpose of allowing mobile phones and other devices to withstand everyday use without problem.

Until now, there were six versions of Gorilla Glass on the market, numbered from lowest to highest depending on the time of its release. Now, Corning has left behind its old nomenclature and has baptized the new version of its glass as Gorilla Glass Victus.

The brand highlights that its new glass has improved substantially both in protection against falls and against scratches , making it the most complete glass that the company has launched in recent years.

It seems that the performance against scratches has not improved much since the release of Gorilla Glass 3 in 2014. This was demonstrated by some reports, which showed that Gorilla Glass 4 performed worse in some tests, Gorilla Glass 5 improved a bit and Gorilla Glass 6 remained as the previous versions. This is because Corning was especially focused on making mobiles more resistant to falls.
