Samsung presents Terrace TV, a new television to enjoy in an outdoor setting, which is capable of withstanding any weather as it is waterproof and dustproof. The South Korean company has also presented a sound bar to complement this new television.
The Terrace TV a year ago would have been a somewhat complicated concept to understand, who would put such a large television in the garden? But right now, the idea can be very well received. All those lucky enough to have a large garden or terrace will be able to enjoy Netflix, HBO and any streaming platform with this weather resistant television.
Rain, heat from the sun, dust, bugs, all these agents that you have to live with when you are outdoors are a bad companion for a television. But Samsung ensures that its new model is capable of withstanding all these outdoor conditions without breaking down.
The Terrace TV, in addition to being resistant to weather conditions, has a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits and an anti-reflective coating. It is a high-end QLED television like the rest of the models that Samsung offers with Full Array Local Dimming technology and 4K quality.
Its price, however, is higher than other models. Depending on the size we choose (55, 65 and 75 inches) it will cost between $3,455 and $6,499.
It can be used with the soundbar with the same name which is also dust and water resistant and has distortion cancellation and technologies to improve audio. Both products are already on sale in the United States and Canada and will arrive throughout the year in other countries such as Germany or Australia, by the end of 2020, a second version is planned.
