After so long without having news of the game Devolver Digital and Croteam have shown that they do not forget Serious Sam 4 by announcing the release date when the new chapter of the saga will go on sale. What’s more, it won’t take long to wait either because it will do so in August for PC on Steam and Stadia, although it will also arrive on Xbox One and PS4 in 2021 as soon as the exclusivity of the Google platform ends.
Rather than being a continuation, this new installment will actually be a prequel to the first Serious Sam. That does not mean that its wild and chaotic gameplay will continue to be present, but this time in a more spectacular way than ever.
The plot will take place at a time when humanity is under siege from Mental’s hordes . Out of this situation has emerged a resistance, the Earth Defense Force, a group led by Sam “Serious” Stone, who of course will be armed to the teeth with a renewed arsenal of the most explosive weapons .
Players will face off against the largest creature hordes seen in the franchise. Among them all will be some of the most classic monsters , such as the decapitated Kamikaze or Scrapjack, but there will also be new ones , see the repulsive Belcher or the agile Zealot.
Serious Sam 4 price and availability
Serious Sam 4 will go on sale with a price of $39.99 and will also arrive along with a Deluxe Edition that will include for $49.99 a copy of the game along with a digital art book, its soundtrack and a special skin for one of the weapons.
