Coronavirus has already influenced the movies and releases, and now Naughty Dog has announced the postponement of The Last of Us: Part II.
When will The Last of Us: Part II be released?
According to the developers, the game is almost ready and they are fixing bugs. Nevertheless, because of the coronavirus epidemic, problems with logistics appeared – in the process of transferring the product from the manufacturer to the consumers. Naughty Dog wants to make sure that all gamers get simultaneous access to The Last of Us: Part II, so they decided to postpone the launch day until the problems with logistics are resolved.
The problem is that the developers themselves do not know how long the players will have to wait: “We are saddened by this decision, but in the end we understand that this is the best and fair solution for all our players. We hope that this will not be a long delay, and we will notify you as soon as we have new information.”

Initially, The Last of Us: Part II was planned to be released on February 21, but closer to 2020, their plans changed, and the developers pushed the launch date to May 29. In some countries, quarantine due to the coronavirus epidemic is planned to be extended, which will also affect the release of The Last of Us: Part II.
Perhaps gamers will get the game in the summer, but then Sony will have to decide on the launch of Ghost of Tsushima, which is scheduled for June 26. Perhaps the company will shift the release dates of their exclusive projects in order to maintain a break between them.
