Sony might introduce a new Xperia at MWC which has 4K and 5G support. The future flagship Xperia smartphone from Sony will receive a unique set of technical specifications that no device on the commercial market has yet, according to reports.
The upcoming phone will appear on February 24 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 in Barcelona, Spain. Sony will continue its flagship strategy in 2020, and it is expected to launch two flagships, one of which will be officially released at MWC2020.
It is reported that the new Xperia will receive a 4K resolution screen and support fifth generation of mobile communication (5G). Moreover, the phone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. In this case, it will be the first phone that has Snapdragon 865 and supports 4K and 5G.
The display size will be 6.6-inches and the aspect ratio will be 21: 9. Sony is expected to use an OLED screen with HDR support. The new Xperia will have a Snapdragon X55 modem, compatible with non-autonomous (NSA) and autonomous (SA) architectures.
There will be a quad-camera, in which the main sensor will have 48MP or 64MP, a wide-angle 12-megapixel camera, a 12-megapixel telephoto camera and a ToF sensor.
While there is no certainty about the name of the device, it might be named Xperia 1.1, Xperia 0 or Xperia 1 Premium. The price of the new Xperia flagship will be over $850.
