Acer has announced the TravelMate Spin B3 convertible laptop, as well as the classic TravelMate B3 laptop, both aimed at K-12 students.
New items have reinforced cases in accordance with the MIL-STD 810G standard. They can withstand shock, pressure and other clumsy stuff that are part of everyday student life. Also the top cover is pressure-resistant, there are shock-absorbent rubber bumpers and reinforced corners to add to the durability of the new devices.
The TravelMate B3 has a screen with the size of 11.6-inches, but its resolution is not specified. The TravelMate Spin B3 has a lid that can rotate 360 degrees, which allows you to use the device as a tablet. The Wacom AES technology used provides a natural writing experience and the laptop comes with a dockable stylus.
The new laptops will be offered with Intel Pentium or Celeron processors. Each device has an Ethernet network controller, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, an HDMI interface and a USB Type-C connector.
The claimed battery life is up to 12 hours and the operating system is Windows 10. Acer TravelMate B3 and Spin B3 keyboards have anchored keys, so they are difficult to remove as well.
