The second part of the game STALKER has been under development since 2010 and developers recently shared that Stalker 2 will use Unreal Engine 4. The makers of the game are extremely reluctant to share any significant details of the project.
First of all, the STALKER 2 appeared in the list of upcoming games on the Unreal Engine‘s website. Later on it disappeared and a little later, GSC Game World, the studio’s employees confirmed that Stalker 2 will be using the Unreal Engine 4. The developers also showed the fans how the main subject of the stalker’s diet, the ordinary loaf, would look in the game.

The original game was built on the proprietary X-Ray engine, and it supported stunning visual effects . Now with the Unreal Engine the second game might make modding more easy and accessible as well.
