2020 is an atypical year due to the global pandemic. This has caused many events to be canceled, others to be held online, and many companies have decided not to be in those mass events that have been held online to try to stand out and offer their products and vision when they see fit.

Between the end of August and the beginning of September, in a normal year, we would have been talking about IFA, one of the most important technology fairs in Berlin. In fact, Lenovo takes the opportunity to show their new products themselves.

Classic ThinkPad design but lighter

ThinkPads are known for excellence in both performance and design. This year Lenovo takes the concept a little further by using materials such as carbon and magnesium to create lighter and more resistant equipment.

One of the strengths of the ThinkPad X1 Nano is precisely the size. It has a 13.87 mm profile and 962 grams weight, making it the lightest ThinkPad to date and one of the lightest notebooks overall.

Inside it hides a screen that has practically no borders with a 13″ panel supported by Dolby Vision technology, 450 nits brightness, 2160 x 1350 resolution, and compatibility with 100% of the sRGB spectrum. You can use it as a touch screen.

Performance

ThinkPad X1 Nano uses the latest family of Intel processors. We can choose up to an i7 of the eleventh generation of processors accompanied by up to 1TB PCIe SSD storage and up to 16GB LPDDR4X RAM.

The GPU of this processor is the Intel Iris X that promises to be better in both gaming and design tasks, something that we will do more than play on this computer. The interesting thing is that Lenovo is going to give the option to configure the ThinkPad X1 Nano with Windows 10 Pro or with Linux OS.

Among the security options, the device has voice recognition, a fingerprint sensor, and a presence sensor to lock the device.
