To turn off your Synology Network Attached Storage (NAS), press and hold the Power button until you hear a beep and the Power LED begins to blink.

According to the User Guide for the DiskStation, “To turn off Synology DiskStation, press the Power Button and hold it until you hear a beep sound and the Power LED starts blinking.” I was able to verify this information by consulting the manual.
