If you don’t have Warzone 2.0 yet, it’s free! All you have to do to play the game is to visit their Steam page.

This guide will explain the advantages and disadvantages of each Warzone 2 AR and rank them from 10th to 1st place so you can quickly choose which Assault Rifle in Warzone 2.0 is the best at the moment.
The best AR in Warzone 2.0
In our opinion, The STB 556 is the best AR in Warzone 2. With precise accuracy, it possesses the best TTK in its class and can kill an unarmed foe in under 235 milliseconds with chest shots. The STB 556 is certain to aid you in racking up kills and excelling in every game, whether you’re scurrying to take out a local enemy or trying to laser someone as they run away into the distance in Al Mazrah.

Take the STB 556 if you find it on the ground. Equip your loadout if you’re creating one. The STB 556 deserves a place in your armory without a doubt.
Okay, we gave you a spoiler for the list, but there are a lot of different great weapons that exist in the game. Remember that just because there is a gun listed as the best it doesn’t mean it’s the best gun in your hands so try every weapon on the list and decide which one suits you the best.
Let’s take a look at all of the best AR in the Warzone 2.0 list together.
10- Kastov 545
The Kastov 545 functions best as a close-range Assault Rifle due to its subpar accuracy and lack of recoil control. It falls short of its rivals who perform well at the same range since the Kastov-74U deals somewhat more damage and fires at a little faster pace.

It’s challenging to justify the inclusion of the Kastov-74U in your loadout when their TTKs are compared; the Kastov-74U beats the Kastov 545 by less than 100ms. It’s not a terrible weapon, the Kastov 545. It simply can’t compete with another Warzone 2 AR that performs a comparable function better.
9- M16
The M16 is currently the least dependable AR in Warzone 2 due to its poor damage and subpar attributes.
Despite being recognizable, the M16 in Warzone 2 doesn’t feel particularly satisfying to wield. While searching for adversaries in Al Mazrah, it seems disappointing because it has the slowest time to kill and ADS speed.

The M16 fails here because of its distinctive burst-fire mode, which gives it such widespread recognition. It is far slower than other Assault Rifles, so the damage and accuracy must be quite high to make up for it. There is a 200-ms pause between each burst.
8- Chimera
The Chimera has an excellent fire rate, although it falls short of the M4, which is fairly close.
In keeping with the pattern of some weapons being superior to others, the Chimera is fundamentally an inferior M4. It deals less damage but has the same rapid-fire rate and similar handling as the M16.

That’s not ideal while trying to defeat other teams in Warzone 2, particularly given that they almost certainly use the superior M4 that is now dictating the meta. Even though the Chimera is a brand-new Season 1 Assault Rifle, it isn’t currently in the top 5 in its class.
7- TAQ-56
Here is where our list of guns becomes close to each other, and the TAQ-56 is by no means a terrible choice. With the proper setup, it is sufficiently straightforward to control and reasonably powerful. Contrasted with some other ARs in Warzone 2, it doesn’t hold up as well, though.

For instance, when compared to the M4, which is a fan favorite, the TAQ-56 doesn’t excel in any one area. Although the M4 outperforms it in almost all other stats, including fire rate, recoil management, and accuracy, it does have more body shot damage. It’s a little too challenging to employ the DPS consistently and successfully in Warzone 2, where those are essential if you want to fast-rinse foes.
6- Lachmann-556
The Lachmann-556 is an unexpectedly potent weapon, offering one of the Assault Rifle class’s fastest unarmored TTKs. It is outperformed overall by another AR, hence it only earns a middle position on this list, mostly for the same reasons as some of the earlier weapons.

The STB 556 performs better than it at medium-long range with greater recoil control, accuracy, handling, and a wider damage range. But that doesn’t automatically make the Lachmann-556 awful, as you might anticipate. You’ll discover that it works great if you’re forced to utilize this weapon as ground loot or to grind for camos.
5- M13B
The M13B boasts the best fire rate in its class, a respectable recoil pattern, and unexpectedly lengthy damage dropoff ranges. Unfortunately, its worst-in-class damage profile severely hinders it. Perhaps more surprisingly, the M13B doesn’t even fire at a faster pace. Its fire rate difference from the M4’s fire rate is not insignificant, but it is also not very high.

However, despite its incredible fire rate, the M13B doesn’t feel particularly strong. We would just choose the M4 instead, which still fires almost as quickly and eliminates foes with ease, in its current state.
4- Kastov 762
The AK in Warzone 2 is the Kastov 752, and it is just as potent as you might anticipate. With its extremely high damage, this assault rifle can take out an unarmored foe at a distance in a few hits.

Its main weakness is being able to strike targets at such a distance, and its tremendous recoil makes it difficult to manage. Fortunately, you can significantly improve that by using the appropriate attachments to transform the Kastov 762 into a laser that will enable you to repeatedly defeat Al Mazrah.
3- M4
Since the M4 is the first Warzone 2 AR you’ll unlock, you can count on it to help you win many of your early games. However, that does not mean you should throw it away as soon as you have something new. It’s one of Warzone 2’s strongest weapons right now, and its rapid-fire rate makes it a top choice for close-to-medium-range combat. You have a winner when you combine that lightning-fast speed with great damage, accuracy, and manageable recoil.

2- Kastov-74U
The Kastov-74U is probably one of the top choices in the current meta if you enjoy close-quarters combat. Before adversaries can even react, it can shred them apart with rapid fire and severe impacts.

That may seem too good to be true, but it is actually very potent. As long as you keep it at close range. At lower levels, it is challenging to control due to its rather large recoil. Stick to close range to rack up those kills as you seek to unlock attachments and create the ideal setup.
1- STB 556
In Warzone 2, the STB 556 is a real laser beam that can take off foes at a medium-to-long range with astonishing accuracy. The STB 556 has the strongest TTK among Warzone 2 ARs thanks to its top-in-class recoil management, accuracy, and high damage, which makes it an easy option for any loadout.

Be mindful, though, that such precision has a price. Since the STB 556 fires less frequently than many other Assault Rifles, you’ll need a quick backup weapon to help you survive in close-quarters combat.
