Asus announces Gladius III ROG gaming mouse and Claymore II ROG optomechanical keyboard at CES 2021
The Asus ROG Gladius III is a mouse equipped with an optical sensor with a resolution of up to 19,000 DPI (400 IPS and up to 50G) with a system of interchangeable mechanical buttons for the main buttons. You can choose between a traditional 3-contact mechanical switch or replace it with OMRON’s 5-contact optical sensor as required.
To avoid inconvenience, the USB cable used is a “ROG Paracord” a low friction cable, while the “ROG Omni” Teflon feet promise perfect sliding. If you don’t want cables, then as easy as purchasing the ROG Gladius III Wireless, with wireless @ 2.40GHz, Bluetooth 5.1 LE, or wired connectivity.
On the other hand, we have the Asus ROG Claymore II, optomechanical keyboard since it uses ROG RX Blue optical-mechanical switches that promise a life of at least 100 million keystrokes with a LED RBG lighting system per key.
This keyboard has an 80% size, magnetic wrist rest, a detachable numeric keypad that can be placed on both sides of the keyboard, we have volume control wheel and dedicated multimedia keys, can be connected via USB Type-C cable or wirelessly (2.4GHz) with a battery life up to 40 hours thanks to its 4000mAh battery which supports quick charging.
The company did not announce a thing about availability or price though.
