Microsoft has an intention to buy Tiktok

Microsoft has an intention to buy Tiktok and they have released an official statement detailing its intention to acquire TikTok and the time it is in this process of complicated management with its own government.

Since Microsoft have decided to reveal their letters and not only have they admitted the intention to get TikTok, they have also published a statement on their blog where they comment on the moment they are in and some of the difficulties they must face in this complicated purchase that they have an undeniable political aspect.

  • Microsoft announced Cortana’s withdrawal from iOS and Android

Political aspect of the purchase of TikTok

TikTok has been at the center of the controversy for a long time and the initial rumors about its blockade in the United States have become direct threats by Trump. The president’s statements and the example of Huawei have been enough to make it impossible to ignore the danger suffered by the popular application, but the arrival of American investors can change everything.

Microsoft has an intention to buy Tiktok

Microsoft has not only announced that it plans to acquire TikTok in some territories, but has also launched an appeal to other investors to join a movement that would place the Nadella company as one of the great competitors in the social media sector, where it remains on a second line.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has spoken directly with Donald Trump to pave the way, as no one doubts the White House’s ability to block the purchase of TikTok, although no specific point has yet been reached: “After a Conversation between Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and President Donald J. Trump, Microsoft is ready to continue negotiations and explore the purchase of TikTok in the United States.”

Microsoft has an intention to buy Tiktok, the purchase of TikTok would go hand in hand with a review of the application and major changes to the application with the aim of reassuring the US government. Microsoft agrees to acquire TikTok subject to a full security review and to provide the corresponding economic benefits to the United States.

But this is not a bet for the future and has a deadline, September 15. The agreement that can be reached before that day would cause Microsoft to have control of Tiktok over the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. It is unknown what would happen to India, where it has already been blocked.

This would save one of the main problems that the Trump government encounters on TikTok, by ensuring that ” all the private data of US TikTok users is transferred and remains in the United States. To the extent that such data is Currently stored or backed up outside the United States, Microsoft will ensure they are removed from servers outside the country after being transferred.”

Although all this information is already known, there is another that is still kept secret, such as what would be the price to be paid by Microsoft for controlling a business of such volume. The only thing you can venture is that the news with TikTok will continue in the coming months.
