Madden 23 is now available for EA Play users, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, and All-Madden Edition pre-orderers. If you’re headed to the virtual gridiron early, don’t miss out on the limited-time Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) challenges. They’ll be gone when the game officially opens on August 19, so get them done first. If you’re on the fence about preordering the game, or if you’re just looking forward to getting home and loading up the EA Play trial, here’s everything you need to know about the Madden 23 early access MUT challenges.
Madden 23 Early Access MUT challenges
The 10-hour EA Play trial is now available a day earlier than expected, which means that anybody with an EA Play or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription may play the game for up to 10 hours between now and when it opens on August 19. Those who bought the All-Madden Edition don’t have a time limit, but if you’re in any of the three categories, you may take on 10 special challenges that no one else will have access to.
The challenges are rather basic, and their main purpose is to give you a boost as you begin another year of MUT play. If you’re a regular MUT player, these tasks will look familiar, but if you’re new to Madden—or simply new to playing it early—what here’s to anticipate over ten in-game challenges. Depending on how many stars you achieve, you can earn up to 400 coins for each task. After completing the task, you can select one of two difficulties for one or two stars, and then pursue another pair of optional challenges to maximize your stars gained.
23 For You! – On the drive, you gain 23 yards. Bonus goals include completing the task in no more than five plays and gaining at least 10 yards on the ground.
Winning It All – Make a touchdown. Making a throwing touchdown and gaining 5+ running yards are both bonus goals.
Dr. Jekyll? – Allow no throwing touchdowns. Bonus goals include surrendering no touchdowns and allowing no more than 23 running yards.
12 And 23 – Gain 23+ throwing yards in six or fewer plays. Bonus goals include reaching the needed yards in four or fewer plays and completing a throw on two different occasions.
Going The Distance – Score 3 or more points on the drive. Passing for 23 yards or running for 10 yards are both bonus goals.
Veintitres – On the same drive, get a first down and score a touchdown. Bonus goals include gaining 5 yards or more on your first play and running for 5 yards or more overall.
23 MPH – Obtain a running touchdown. Bonus goals include running for 23 yards or more in six plays or less and gaining two or more first downs.
Stop The Offense! – Allow no touchdowns. Bonus goals include allowing no more than 23 yards and no passing yards on the opening play.
23 Years In The Making – Make a touchdown. Bonus goals include passing for 60 yards or more overall and passing for 20 yards or more in three plays.
The Early Bird Special – Take the victory. Bonus goals include scoring 7 or more points and preventing the opponent from scoring a touchdown.
After completing all of these objectives, you’ll have won up to 23,000 coins, which isn’t much in your season-long quest to compete in MUT, but it’ll at least allow you swiftly replace one of the game’s poor receivers.
