Abramovich in a statement published on Chelsea’s website said that:

This includes providing critical funds towards the urgent and immediate needs of victims, as well as supporting the long-term work of recovery. “Abramovich is currently trying to sell all his villas in England. He also wants to get rid of Chelsea quickly now. I, along with three other people, received an offer on Tuesday to buy Chelsea from Abramovich.”

Roman Abramovich purchased the West London club in 2003 and his financial backing has helped the team achieve its greatest levels of success, winning five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, and the Champions League title twice.

Abramovich, who has Israeli and Portuguese citizenship, rose to become one of Russia’s most powerful entrepreneurs by amassing a huge fortune after the Soviet Union’s dissolution in 1991. His net worth is estimated at $13.3 billion.
