These will be the first Xiaomi phones to get MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update

Xiaomi has confirmed which phone models will be the first to receive the upgraded version of MIUI 12.5, and when.

We already know which will be the first Xiaomi mobiles to receive MIUI 12.5 Enhanced, the enhanced version of the latest installment of the brand’s operating system. whose deployment is scheduled to end on August 27.

For starters, Xiaomi will release the update to a total of 12 different devices, as the company itself has confirmed on its official forum.

The “Enhanced” version of MIUI 12.5 is aimed at fixing a large number of known issues and adding performance and functional improvements in certain aspects of the system. It does not introduce new features or design changes but is an update focused exclusively on improving the user experience.

Today, Xiaomi has already started the rollout, and since last Saturday, February 14, at least 6 models have already begun to receive the update. By August 27th, all models should have been updated.

As for the list of phones that will receive MIUI 12.5 Enhanced first, it is possible to find the following:

  • Xiaomi Mi MIX 4
  • Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra
  • Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro
  • Xiaomi Mi 11
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra
  • Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro
  • Xiaomi Mi 10S
  • Xiaomi Mi 10
    Xiaomi Redmi K40
  • Xiaomi Redmi K40 Pro
  • Xiaomi Redmi K30S Ultra
  • Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro

The list, therefore, matches that of the list of models initially supported by the update that was published a few days ago.

It is worth mentioning that the update is aimed at the Chinese market since for now, Xiaomi has not shared its plans regarding the distribution of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced globally. Therefore, only those devices with a Chinese MIUI ROM installed will be able to upgrade to the enhanced version. At least initially.
