Google has just officially launched Google Workspace Individual, the new paid plan for those who are using personal Google accounts for professional purposes, which will allow them to have several premium capabilities in some of the company’s services.
For now, this new plan is available in five markets: Brazil, Canada, Japan, Mexico, and the U.S. for $9.99 per month, although the company offers facilities for its adoption. Upfront, users can try this plan for 14 days for free, and until January 2022 they will pay slightly less, about $7.99 per month, for a savings of two dollars per month.
In return, they will have an unlimited group calling on Google Meet (just as they have removed this communication feature from free personal accounts), although they will also benefit from recording capabilities, audio enhancements such as noise cancellation, and more.
Users will also be able to have a professional booking page integrated with their Google Calendar, where their clients can set up professional appointment booking, even avoiding scheduling conflicts.
For its part, Gmail will soon have professional email templates, where it will be possible to customize the look and feel of emails according to the purpose for which they are intended.
In addition, users will be able to benefit from live support, and in the future, they will be able to enjoy other premium capabilities. However, they will keep the same storage capacity of 15GB, so if they want more space, they will have to contract it through Google One. There will also be no customizable email addresses, for which they should switch to the full Workspace pack.
As we say, it is a plan that is aimed at one-person professionals who are using their free personal Google accounts. It will be a matter of the plan progressing, both in terms of features and its deployment in other territories, complementing the rest of the paid offers provided by the company.
As we mentioned before, this plan also comes at a time when Google has decided to limit the duration of Google Meet group calls, so perhaps this is an incentive for those who need to have a longer duration in their group calls because of their professional activity requires it.
