Sony revealed PS5 gamepad: The DualSense

Sony shown its new gamepad DualSense for its upcoming console, PS5. The company revealed an image of a black and white model of the new wireless game controller, along with its features.

According to the blog post, the DualSense has adaptive triggers, rechargeable battery and unlike its predecessor, the DualShock, it has a built-in microphone. With the microphone, the need for a headset is over, and the players may communicate with others through the in-built mic from now on.

Comparing it with the DualShock, a physical is not with us anymore. We are talking about Share button, it is gone now. But there will be a new button intead, called Create, which will be used to follow instructions in the games.

The design of DualSense seems pretty different from its predecessor and may also show how things change once PS5 is out. The new controller is expected to change the gaming experience as we know up to now, with its new features.

Jim Ryan, President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment said about the PS5 and the new gamepad: “DualSense marks a radical departure from our previous controller offerings and captures just how strongly we feel about making a generational leap with PS5. The new controller, along with the many innovative features in PS5, will be transformative for games – continuing our mission at PlayStation to push the boundaries of play, now and in the future. To the PlayStation community, I truly want to thank you for sharing this exciting journey with us as we head toward PS5’s launch in Holiday 2020. We look forward to sharing more information about PS5, including the console design, in the coming months.”
