With the release of HarmonyOS 2 Huawei’s mobile operating system has been installed on millions of Huawei devices.

We started June 2021 with the official presentation of the long-delayed HarmonyOS system. After multiple leaks that claimed that the cause of the delay was problems with its stability.

But the reality is that when Huawei showed the software everything looked as interesting as ambitious. Under the idea of turning this program into the basis of a new era for the brand.

It was a matter of very little time before the mobile operating system was released to users willing to take the leap and try it out.

Now it turns out that millions of people have signed up to give it a try. Within a week of the software’s release, a total of 10 million users have already downloaded the system.

During their presentation, company executives showed a fairly extensive list of about 100 different device models eligible to download and test HarmonyOS by the end of 2022.

There they stated that their goal was to reach 100 million active users of the mobile operating system. So they have advanced 10% of their goal in one week.

HarmonyOS is Huawei’s future

Huawei’s bet now will be on smart and interconnected products. This is where HarmonyOS would be the cornerstone of everything.

As they advanced, their ambition is for the platform to be integrated with absolutely all Huawei products. Refrigerators, watches, smartphones, flatscreens, smart TVs, and even cars.

This would represent something very ambitious but a shrewd move as manufacturers have practically fragmented their ecosystems when they venture into the manufacture of smart products.
