Spotify is starting to launch its voice control system on its mobile app for Android and iOS platforms, which will work as long as users already have the app open.
In this sense, users will be able to start with the activation command “Hey Spotify” to continue with the request to be made, allowing from playing a track, a playlist (Daily Mix lists are included), or a radio station, to voice controls for playback, that is, pause, play and go to the next track.

This new possibility or way comes at a time when users have long been able to use any of the virtual assistants settled in the market to manage their Spotify accounts via voice commands, including such well-known assistants as Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant.

Users must activate it manually from the configuration options, and its arrival can serve as a prelude to the launch of hardware products, recalling that in 2019 they were already testing with Car Thing to bring an assistant to vehicles. Although the company also considers the possibility that introducing a compatible headset of their own over the next year.
