Xiaomi’s mid-range does not stop growing, the company presented Redmi Note 10S with a long-awaited AMOLED screen and today we are going to talk about its specs, price, and release date. The company repeats last year’s strategy and, along with the standard and pro models, brings us an S variant.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S specs
Xiaomi debuts a design with quite a few changes in the new Redmi Note 10 range. The main difference is the camera module which is located in the upper left corner and has a rectangular shape with very rounded corners. Also, camera placement is somewhat different than the usual: the larger main one at the top, the macro and depth sensor just below, and finally the wide-angle lens at the bottom.
The main difference between the Redmi Note 10S and the standard model is the cameras. This model has a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and finally a 2MP depth sensor.
The Chinese giant bets on a curved edge shape on the back and uses a completely flat screen. The fingerprint reader is located on the side of the device and it is splash resistant (IP53 certification).
For the screen, there is an important leap because this model abandons the LCD and uses an AMOLED screen. We are talking about a large panel size, specifically 6.43 inches and FullHD+ resolution. But the refresh rate doesn’t change and stays at 60Hz.
Redmi Note 10S is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G95. According to Xiaomi, it is 31% faster than the previous model that had a Snapdragon 720G. Mind you, there is no 5G support here.
The base model of the Redmi Note 10S has 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. But there are also versions with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage or 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. All of them feature UFS 2.2 and are expandable with MicroSD. It has a battery with a 5,000mAh capacity and 33W quick charging.
