One UI 3.0 is the interface of Samsung phones based on Android 11 and apparently it closes apps in the background and today we are going to show you how to solve that problem. This version of the interface is offering us many improvements, but a problem has also been discovered.

This may cause you to miss some notifications on your smartphone. The good part is we have a solution for you.

Samsung One UI 3.0 closes apps in the background

In Samsung’s One UI 3.0, a number of usage restrictions have been introduced in addition to those we already have in Android. This interface behaves in a more aggressive way to prevent data collection.

In addition, this activity also makes some notifications not work properly on the device, something that people using this version have noticed. Although it is not known if this is something that affects all phones with One UI 3.0 or not.

How to solve that problem?

This is something that has been enabled by default after getting the Android 11 update on these devices. Users haven’t done anything to make this happen, but luckily there is a way to prevent apps from continuing to close in the background without your permission. These are the steps to follow:

  • Open Settings.
  • Go to Applications.
  • Go to one of the apps in the list.
  • Go to the Battery section.
  • Click on Optimize battery usage.
  • Select All.
  • Deactivate the applications that you want to receive notifications from or that need to run in the background.

When you disable the desired apps from the list, they will go back to giving you notifications and running in the background. This is something that may consume more battery, but it will also allow many of the apps to run smoothly, as many of them need to be able to run in the background. This way you’ve learned how to disable this feature with some easy steps.
